We of course take safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Where appropriate, our volunteers have regular DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. We comply with all the relevant national and diocesan guidelines and policies

Any concerns relating to those connected to the church can always be raised with our Parish Safeguarding Officer, although if a child or vulnerable adult is at immediate risk of serious harm, the police or social services should be contacted as a matter of urgency.

Our parish safeguarding policy and safeguarding officer’s details can be found here (PDF) and are displayed in church, along with further information.

We also have policies and guidance on:

Expressing Safeguarding Concerns available here

Responding to Safeguarding Allegations available here

and an E-Policy available here.

Our safeguarding information letter for parents is available here.
